There’s something magical about rain on a wedding day — and Josh & Bella’s beautiful celebration at Maroon Hill Estate was living proof that love shines brightest when the skies open up.

Nestled in the heart of Queensland’s Scenic Rim, Maroon Hill Estate provided the most breathtaking backdrop, even under rainy skys. Rolling hills stretched into the distance. A rainbow arched over the Scenic Rim hills, casting a soft glow across the estate. It felt like a sign, a quiet blessing, and we couldn’t have scripted a more perfect moment if we tried.

As a wedding photographer, days like this are an absolute dream. The soft, diffused light brought out every detail — the glistening raindrops on Bella’s bouquet, the warm laughter shared under umbrellas, and the emotion on Josh’s face as he saw his bride for the first time.

After the ceremony, we made our way to the iconic Kooroomba Vineyards and Lavender Farm for their bridal portraits — and WOW. Even with the wet weather, the lavender fields and the rustic charm of the vineyard made for the dreamiest, most romantic images.
